Manila, Philippines — January 9.
Authorities intercepted an estimated ₱114.5 million worth of suspected shabu during an operation at the Cargo Warehouse of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City on Friday.

According to airport officials, the successful confiscation was carried out through close coordination among several enforcement units, including the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, intelligence operatives from the Aviation Security Unit–NCR, and officers from the Cargo Police Station.

During the inspection, three individuals were apprehended after the illegal drugs were discovered in their possession. The suspects, along with the seized contraband, have been turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) for further investigation and the filing of appropriate charges.

Authorities continue to tighten airport security and monitoring to prevent similar smuggling attempts.
