Taipei, Taiwan — November 21, 2025
The Central Weather Administration (CWA) reports that the northeast monsoon will continue to influence Taiwan today, bringing cooler temperatures during the early morning and evening hours. Islandwide lows are expected to fall between 17°C and 19°C, with residents advised to dress warmly, especially during outdoor activities.
According to the CWA, moisture combined with lower temperatures may lead to icing, rime formation, or isolated snowfall on mountain ranges above 3,500 meters in central Taiwan. Despite the chilly start, the cold air mass is forecast to weaken throughout the day, allowing temperatures to rise and creating mild and comfortable weather conditions by the afternoon.
Warming Trend Expected Today
Daytime temperatures are projected to reach:
-
22°C to 23°C in northern Taiwan and Yilan
-
24°C to 25°C in Hualien and Taitung
-
26°C to 27°C in central and southern regions
Outlying islands will experience varying conditions:

A new wave of cold air is expected to arrive on Monday, November 24, bringing noticeably cooler conditions through Thursday, November 27. The lowest temperatures during this period may dip to 16°C, particularly in northern Taiwan and Yilan.

Rain will be more frequent along the Keelung North Coast, the northeast, and the mountainous regions of Greater Taipei. Other areas can expect partly cloudy to sunny weather, though brief showers may develop in northern regions by nighttime.
