TAIPEI — Typhoon Fung-wong continues its slow but steady approach toward Taiwan this morning, prompting the Central Weather Administration (CWA) to maintain land and sea warnings across the island. The storm’s outer circulation reached southern Taiwan early today, with the typhoon’s center expected to make landfall after dusk.
Meteorologists warn that wind and rainfall intensity will increase gradually, especially in southern and central regions. Residents in low-lying and mountainous areas are urged to stay alert for possible flooding and landslides as the storm intensifies throughout the day.
