Taichung, Taiwan — October 28, 2025
A distressing incident occurred early Tuesday morning in Beitun District, Taichung City, when a 15-year-old male student fell from the third floor of a school building. Authorities believe the fall may have been linked to emotional distress brought on by academic pressure.
According to reports, the Taichung Fire Department received an emergency call at 7:29 a.m. and immediately dispatched rescue personnel to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the student lying on the ground floor, bleeding from the mouth and nose, with broken teeth and visible fractures to his left hand and foot.

Authorities and School Response
The school administration has not released an official statement but expressed deep concern for the student’s condition. Counselors and teachers have been mobilized to provide psychological support to other students affected by the incident.
Local police are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fall and whether additional factors contributed to the student’s emotional distress.
