Manila, Philippines — October 21, 2025

Senator Bong Go downplayed the latest plunder complaint filed against him by former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, calling the allegations “rehash” and “recycled” accusations that have long been disproven.

Trillanes filed the complaint on Tuesday, October 21, accusing Go of allegedly using his position to secure government infrastructure projects for a company linked to his family.

In response, Go said that the same issue had already been repeatedly raised since September 2018, referring to the supposed Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) projects awarded to his relatives.

“Rehashed pa rin. Pati polo niya rehashed pa rin. ‘Yun pa rin ang ginamit niyang paninira sa akin para siya ang pumuti. Nag-polo na nga siya ng puti para pumuti kunwari, pero ang kanyang hangarin ay napakadumi,” Go said, criticizing Trillanes’ motives and describing the complaint as politically motivated.

The senator maintained that he had no involvement in any DPWH project allocations and that the claims were part of a smear campaign intended to tarnish his reputation.

Go reiterated that he remains focused on his work in the Senate and will continue to serve the Filipino people despite what he described as repeated and baseless accusations.
