CEBU, Philippines — September 30, 2025

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck Cebu at 9:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, shaking homes and prompting concern across the province.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the quake’s epicenter was located 17 kilometers north-northeast of Bogo City at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Authorities have not yet released details on possible damage or casualties. Residents are advised to remain cautious as aftershocks are expected.
