The Guguan has an altitude of 800 meters and its near to the Dajia River. Guguan is located in the Bo’ai Village of Taichung City in the Heping District. The place gains its name because the Central Cross-Island Highway cuts across the valley that looks like a guarded entrance. Guguan is famous for its hots springs and country items. Way back in 1907, when the Atayal Tribe discovered the hot spring in Guguan. The temperature of the hot spring is about 48 degrees Celsius and its a carbonic acid hot spring and its mild and good for the spa. In the regions, the hotels are equipped with spa facilities. Because the place was surrounded by dense forestry and clear creeks the tourist can go swimming, fishing, and camping. The place has many beautiful attractions where tourists can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The most wonderful season in Guguan is the autumn and spring. There are also cherry blossoms and maple trees for sightseeing. After enjoying the view and relaxation with your families or friends when you get hungry, try their trout dish.

Private Transportation:
* Nat’l Hwy 1 > Exit at Taichung Interchange > Nat’l Hwy 4 > Exit at Fengyuan Interchange > Prov. Hwy 3 > Prov. Hwy 8.

Public Transportation:
* You should take TRA to Fengyuan Train Station then transfer ti Fengyuan Bus 207 and get off at Guguan stop.

* Or you should take HSR to Taichung Train Station then transfer to Fengyuan Bus 153 (Low) and get off at Guguan stop.
