Kaohsiung, Taiwan — November 26, 2025

Costco’s “Black Friday Shopping Week,” which began on November 24, drew massive crowds, but the event was overshadowed by reports of an alleged public indecency incident involving a popular online adult video actress. According to social media posts, the woman exposed herself in the pet food section of the Kaohsiung store and shared photos on Twitter with the caption, “After shopping around twice on Black Friday, I realized I didn’t have enough money, so I decided to sell myself.”

The post quickly sparked heated discussion online, with some fans commenting on her actions, while the content was removed by November 26.

Police Investigation Underway

The Qianzhen Police Precinct confirmed that no formal report had been filed but stated they will proactively review surveillance footage to investigate the incident. Authorities said they would identify the individual who took the photos to clarify the facts. If the behavior described is verified, it could constitute public indecency under Taiwan’s Criminal Code. Offenders may face imprisonment of up to one year, detention, or fines of up to NT$9,000, with harsher penalties if the act was committed for profit. Police also urged the public not to forward related videos or engage in similar acts in public spaces.

Costco Responds

Costco Taiwan emphasized that its mission is to provide members with quality products, services, and a safe shopping environment. The store announced it will bar the individual from returning and confirmed it would cooperate fully with law enforcement if the incident is verified. Costco also appealed to members to help maintain a positive shopping atmosphere.

Previous Incident Involving Actress

The same woman, surnamed Wu and nicknamed “Queen of Taiwan’s Hips,” was involved in a separate public indecency case in September at the Kaohsiung General Library, where she filmed an adult video. At that time, she was transferred to the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office for investigation by the Qianzhen Precinct.

The recent incident at Costco has once again raised concerns about public decency and safety in retail spaces, prompting both authorities and businesses to urge vigilance and cooperation from the public.
