The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) has formally asked the Quezon City government for permission to conduct a large-scale public assembly titled “Peaceful Rally for Transparency” at the People Power Monument from November 16 to 18.
According to the letter submitted to Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, the religious group expects to gather as many as 300,000 participants per day during the three-day event.
INC officials emphasized that the activity aims to promote transparency and peace, assuring full coordination with local authorities to maintain public safety, traffic order, and cleanliness throughout the gathering.
City officials have yet to release a statement regarding the church’s request. The Quezon City local government, along with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other relevant agencies, is expected to review the proposal to ensure that necessary safety and logistical measures are in place.
If approved, the planned rally is set to become one of the largest public gatherings in Metro Manila this year.
