Pingtung County, Taiwan — October 15, 2025.
The Pingtung County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at an electric motorcycle battery swap station on Zhongshan Road, Liuqiu Township, at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to authorities, thick smoke was seen rising from the site when emergency responders arrived. Firefighters immediately began suppression efforts and successfully extinguished the blaze after about one hour. The affected area was estimated to cover roughly 50 square meters.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported at the scene. Fire officials commended the quick response of emergency teams, which helped prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. Fire investigators have taken over the case to determine the origin of the blaze and assess the extent of the damage.
