In Xiyu Island there is a lighthouse called Yuwongdao or Xiyu Lighthouse that is located at Wai-an Village. The Yuwongdao Lighthouse was the first lighthouse in the Taiwan area that was built in 1778 and also considers as a historic site today. The Wai-an Village was a landmark for ships sailing between Xiamen and Taiwan on the coast of mainland China. More than two centuries the lighthouse served as a guardian angel seafarers.

How to get there:

Private Transportation:
*Magong City > County Hwy 3 > Turn left at Dongwei > Baisha Township > Penghu Great Bridge > Wai-an > County Rd. 6 > Yuwengdao Lighthouse.

Public Transportation:
* You should take the plane to Magong Airport then transfer to Magong Shuttle Bus North Ring Line and get off at Yuwengdao Lighthouse stop.

* Or you should take Blun Line-Wai-an Line at Makung Terminus then get off at Wai-an Station.
