TAOYUAN CITY (October 11, 2025)— Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was found floating in Zhuangjing Pond in Taoyuan District late Saturday morning.
According to reports, a passerby noticed the body at around 11:48 a.m. and immediately contacted the police. Responding officers and firefighters arrived at the scene and retrieved the man from the water.
Authorities said the individual was already deceased and appeared to have been dead for some time. A motorcycle was also discovered nearby, which investigators believe may have belonged to the victim.
Police have begun efforts to determine the man’s identity and establish the cause of death. Prosecutors have been notified as part of the ongoing investigation.
