MANILA (October 9, 2025)— Cavite 4th District Representative Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga surprised viewers in his latest vlog on October 8 by revealing that he had prepared an impeachment complaint against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
In his vlog, Barzaga opened with a quip directed at his colleagues in Congress, saying, “Welcome back to the crocodile farm.” He explained that the complaint is grounded on alleged “breach of public trust” and aims to hold the President accountable while initiating investigations into irregularities in government flood control projects.
Under House rules, the impeachment complaint must be formally submitted to the House Secretary General to proceed. If filed, this would mark the first impeachment complaint against Marcos during his presidency.
The move follows reports of alleged anomalies in flood mitigation projects, which were initially disclosed by President Marcos himself. In response, Malacañang has established the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to investigate the matter.
Barzaga’s announcement has generated attention in both political and public circles, highlighting ongoing concerns about accountability and transparency in government infrastructure programs.
