A controversy has erupted in Barangay Tingui-an after members of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) revealed that a total of ₱921,785.07 collected in 2024 remains unaccounted for. According to reports, no projects have been implemented using the said funds, and the SK officials are uncertain where the money went.

Adding to their frustration, the SK members claimed they have not received their salaries from November 2024 to August 2025, despite continuing their service to the community.

Bank records shown by the SK members revealed that their SK Chairman, Pearly Rose Basea, had been making regular withdrawals from the group’s account. This raised suspicions that she may have been involved in the disappearance of the funds.

At present, Chairman Basea is being sought by authorities after she reportedly left her home and was last seen boarding a tricycle carrying a bag. Her whereabouts remain unknown as the investigation continues.

Local officials and residents are calling for the immediate recovery of the missing funds, emphasizing that the money was meant for youth development projects in the barangay.
