Six NT$10 Million Winning Receipts in Taiwan Still Unclaimed as Deadline Nears

Residents in Taipei and other parts of Taiwan are being urged to double-check their receipts, as several top-prize winning invoices from last year remain unclaimed just days before the redemption deadline.

According to the Ministry of Finance, there are still six unclaimed NT$10 million (approximately PHP 17 million) prizes from the November–December uniform invoice draw. The final day to claim these prizes is May 5, and officials are warning the public not to miss out on life-changing winnings.

Among the unclaimed winning receipts are small purchases that turned into massive prizes. These include an NT$11 service fee from Gogoro in Taoyuan, an NT$173 telecom bill from Chunghwa Telecom in Keelung, and a NT$49 convenience store purchase from FamilyMart in New Taipei City. Other winning receipts came from transactions at Costco in Taipei, Chun Shui Tang in New Taipei, and PX Mart in Taichung.

Authorities emphasized that even low-value purchases could be tied to high-value prizes, making it crucial for individuals to review all receipts—both paper and digital.

To make the process easier and avoid missing out, the Ministry encourages the public to use the official Uniform Invoice App. By linking mobile barcodes and consolidating electronic invoices into one platform, users can automatically check results and even claim prizes instantly. Utility bills paid through mobile payment systems can also be linked, offering additional chances to win and simplifying the claiming process.

With only a short time remaining, officials are reminding everyone: check your receipts carefully—you might be holding a fortune without realizing it.
