Manila, Philippines — December 6, 2025
Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines has announced a P3 billion investment to expand its production facility in the country, aiming to increase the output of washing machines, refrigerators, and electric fans.
The company’s statement comes after news reports and a social media post by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) highlighted Panasonic’s formal expansion into domestic market operations.
According to a regulatory filing, Panasonic is registered as a PEZA Domestic Market Enterprise, focusing on the manufacturing of household appliances including electric fans, washing machines, and refrigerators.
The new factory facility, located in Laguna Technopark, is expected to begin commercial operations in 2026 for the production of electric fans, with production of washing machines and refrigerators scheduled to start in 2027.
This expansion reflects Panasonic’s commitment to growing its local manufacturing footprint and responding to increasing demand for household appliances in the Philippines.
