Manila, November 29, 2025 – Airbus has issued an urgent directive to address technical issues found in certain A320 aircraft.
As a precaution, several planes from local airlines have been temporarily taken out of service to ensure passenger safety. Airline operators have warned that travelers may experience delays or cancellations in the coming days.
Both domestic and international flights are expected to be affected, particularly as the holiday travel season approaches. Reports indicate that approximately 11,000 A320 aircraft are currently in operation worldwide, with about half impacted by the Airbus safety directive.
Airbus confirmed that the corrective measures are part of their standard safety procedures and are not expected to cause long-term problems. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights prior to departure and to coordinate with customer service for rebooking if necessary.
Despite the inconvenience, airlines emphasized that they are taking all possible steps to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety and convenience of travelers.
