DAVAO CITY, Philippines (November 18, 2025)— Davao City Representative Pulong Duterte has renewed his call for all government officials to undergo drug testing following public allegations by Senator Imee Marcos that her brother, President Bongbong Marcos, uses illegal drugs.

“Kung malinis ka, patunayan mo. Kung hindi, huwag mong gawing tanga ang bayan,” Duterte said in a statement, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability among public officials.

Rep. Pulong stressed that any hesitation or refusal to submit to drug testing only raises public suspicion.
“In light of the statements made by his own sibling, our call becomes even stronger: All government officials must undergo drug testing. No exemptions, no special treatment,” he added.

The renewed appeal comes after Senator Imee Marcos, speaking at an Iglesia ni Cristo event, alleged the President’s involvement in illegal drug use and extended her claims to include First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and their children.

Duterte’s remarks highlight the ongoing debate on transparency and accountability within the government, with officials being urged to publicly demonstrate integrity and adherence to the law.
