Manila (November 14, 2025) – Malacañang firmly denied the allegations raised by former Ako Bicol party-list representative Zaldy Co regarding supposed irregularities in the government’s flood control projects, calling his statements “invented” and “without basis.”

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro issued the response on Friday, November 14, following the release of Co’s video accusing President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. of allegedly inserting ₱100 billion into the proposed 2025 national budget.

According to Castro, Co’s claims only raised more questions instead of clarifying his own role in the alleged anomaly.

“Ang kaniyang naging pahayag, mas nagbunga pa ito ng maraming katanungan imbes na sagutin ang kaniyang papel dito sa sinasabing anomalya,” Castro said in a press briefing.

She also urged Co to return to the Philippines and formally attest to his accusations rather than issuing statements from afar.

“Umuwi muna siya sa Pilipinas at sumpaan ang kaniyang mga sinabi at harapin ang mga demanda at kaso laban sa kaniya,” she added.

The Palace maintained that the allegations are politically motivated and lack any verified evidence, emphasizing that the administration remains committed to transparency and proper use of public funds.
