The death toll from Typhoon Tino continues to rise in the Philippines, according to the latest report released today by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
As of November 11, a total of 232 fatalities have been confirmed. Cebu province recorded the highest number of deaths at 150, followed by Negros Occidental with 42 fatalities, and Negros Oriental with 21.
Authorities continue to search for 112 individuals officially reported missing, many of whom are feared to have been swept away by widespread flooding or buried in landslides caused by the storm.
The typhoon has also left 523 people injured across affected areas. Emergency response teams are focusing relief efforts in the Visayas region, where Typhoon Tino caused the most severe damage.
Officials urge residents in high-risk areas to remain vigilant, avoid flood-prone zones, and follow instructions from local authorities as rescue and relief operations continue.
