Kaohsiung, Taiwan – November 9, 2025 – A public toilet under construction in the Qieding District Sports Park was discovered heavily vandalized early this morning, causing significant damage just days before completion.
According to the Hunei Police Precinct, construction workers found the site around 7 a.m., noticing that more than 10 toilets and urinals had been smashed. Debris was scattered across the area, leaving the facilities “brought back to their original state.” Preliminary estimates put the damage at approximately NT$150,000.
Authorities immediately launched an investigation. A special task force has been assigned to review nearby surveillance footage and monitor suspicious activity, with the goal of identifying and apprehending the responsible individuals. Police continue to urge residents with any information to come forward.
