Taoyuan City, Taiwan – October 23, 2025
A massive fire broke out early this morning in a multi-building iron warehouse on Shuren 3rd Street in Taoyuan District, rapidly spreading due to the large volume of goods stored inside.
The 119 Command Center received the alert at 8:36 a.m., prompting an immediate response from the Dalin Detachment of the Fire Department’s First Disaster Rescue Brigade. Within four minutes, 29 fire trucks, four ambulances, and 58 rescue personnel arrived at the scene.
According to the Fire Department, the warehouse’s single-story iron structure and the abundance of merchandise contributed to the fire’s intensity and swift spread. Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick smoke and towering flames, creating a chaotic scene.
Two employees, a man and a woman, were reported missing inside the warehouse and were undergoing rescue efforts at the time. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by 9:37 a.m., limiting the damage to more than 30 square meters.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the losses.
