Miaoli, Taiwan – October 14, 2025 — An 82-year-old woman surnamed Wu was seriously injured in a rear-end collision on Zhonghua Road in Dingpuli, Zhunan Town, Miaoli County. The incident occurred at around 5 a.m. when the woman was riding a tricycle.

According to police reports, a 50-year-old man surnamed Chen, riding a motorcycle, struck the elderly woman from behind. The impact caused Mrs. Wu to hit her head and suffer severe injuries with bleeding. Emergency responders quickly transported her to a nearby hospital, where she is currently under observation. Her condition has stabilized, but she remains hospitalized for further monitoring.

Zhunan police explained that Mrs. Wu was traveling north to south at a low speed when the motorcycle suddenly collided with her tricycle.
