Authorities in Hsinchu City have uncovered an illegal sex trade operation disguised as a “health club” on Nanda Road, following weeks of covert investigation. Police confirmed that several male customers and female attendants were caught engaging in semi-sexual transactions during a late-night raid, resulting in multiple arrests and charges.
According to the Hsinchu City Police Department, the establishment operated under the guise of a legitimate “health center” but was, in fact, facilitating sexual services between female workers and male patrons. The operation had gained a notorious reputation among locals for its illicit activities.
After gathering sufficient evidence, officers secured a search warrant from the Hsinchu District Court and conducted the raid earlier this week. Police caught one female attendant and one male client in the act and seized NT$5,200 in cash, a cell phone, and a towel containing physical evidence.
The female manager, identified by her surname Wen, was taken into custody and referred to the Hsinchu District Prosecutor’s Office on suspicion of violating public decency laws and disturbing public order. The men and women involved in the prostitution acts were fined under the Social Order Maintenance Act.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to cracking down on illegal sex-related businesses and warned that those seeking to profit from immoral or illicit activities will face severe consequences. Police urged local establishments to operate lawfully and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe community environment.
