Nantou City (October 2, 2025)— Nantou will take center stage for this year’s National Day fireworks celebration, with the grand display set along the banks of the Maoluo River. In preparation, the Nantou County Government recently conducted a rehearsal, test-firing over 1,000 fireworks that lit up the night sky.
Local photographers who captured the rehearsal praised the spectacular views and highlighted several prime spots for both photography and viewing. Two of the most recommended and easily accessible sites are Zushi Bridge and the Gaotandi Viewing Area No. 3, both located opposite the main viewing site. These areas are expected to draw crowds eager to enjoy the colorful spectacle.
Additional vantage points across Nantou City include Shude Mid-Levels DreamWorks in Nangang Industrial Park, Yijing University, Wanglai Industrial Park, and designated viewing zones 1, 2, and 4 situated near the launch area.
For photography enthusiasts seeking elevated perspectives, recommended spots include the hill behind Qianqiu Elementary School, Baowei Mountain Pavilion, Dongxing House, and Nanfeng Golf Course. From these higher vantage points, visitors can capture sweeping panoramas of Nantou’s night skyline enhanced by the dazzling fireworks.
Organizers noted that the closest recommended sites—Zushi Bridge and Gaotandi Viewing Area No. 3—offer not only striking photo opportunities but also allow visitors to hear the accompanying music during the display, promising a full sensory experience of this year’s National Day fireworks extravaganza.
