Taiwan ( August 9, 2021)- This afternoon the Central Epidemic Command Center has officially extended the COVID-19 alert level 2 in the country from August 10 to August 23.

Here are the existing regulations while the alert level 2 is in effect.

The principle of general case:
1. In addition to eating and drinking, wear a mask all the way out.
2. Real-link system and keep a safe social distance.
3. Crowd control or total volume control in business places and public areas: indoor space at least 1.5 meters/person (2.25 square meters/person), outdoor space at least 1 meter/person (1 square meters/person).
4. The maximum number of people for gathering activities: 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors. If the number exceeds the limit, beware of the epidemic prevention plan.
5. The principle of internal use of catering shall be handled in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
6. Wedding banquets and public sacrifices can be opened:
(1) Public sacrifices shall be handled in accordance with relevant anti-epidemic regulations of the Ministry of the Interior.
(2) The wedding banquet complies with the maximum of 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors in each compartment, and the catering guidelines are not allowed to toast table by table.

7. Superstores can sell hot foods such as tea eggs, oden, etc., served by the staff.
8. Comply with the openness of the competent authority’s epidemic prevention management: community colleges, senior learning centers, community care and care bases, parent-child halls, board games venues (limited to general retail transactions), swimming pools, vocational training, etc.

Places still to be closed:
1. Cabarets, dance halls, nightclubs, clubs, restaurants, bars, hotels (galleries), video shows with broadcasting venues (MTV), audio-visual singing venues (KTV), lirongyuan (sightseeing, hairdressing, audio-visual conditioning).
2. Recreation venues, electronic games venues, information leisure venues, leisure mahjong halls and other similar venues.
